Privacy Policy

I run a small school on my own. I collect what I need to teach you and to run the ads that brought you here, and nothing else. I don't sell anything about you to anybody.

Who is responsible

[legal name], P.IVA [VAT number], [registered address], Italy, is the data controller for this website. Write to me at [your email address] about anything on this page.

What I collect

• When you reserve a seat: your name, your email address, the times you can make, and anything else you choose to write in the form.
• When you book a call: your name, your email address and the slot you picked.
• When you pay: the fact of the payment, its amount and its date. Your card number is handled by the payment provider and never reaches me.
• When you take the course: your attendance, the private lessons you book, and whatever notes I keep to teach you well.
• When you visit this page: anonymous traffic counts, and — once the advertising pixel is switched on — the fact that somebody who saw an Instagram ad arrived here and clicked a button.

Why I collect it

To put your group together, to teach the course you paid for, to email you about your own lessons, to keep the accounts my accountant and the Italian tax authority need, and to see which ads are worth paying for.

In GDPR terms: performing our contract, for everything to do with the course; legal obligation, for invoices and tax records; and legitimate interests, for measuring advertising and understanding traffic.

Who else sees it

These are the services I use to run the school. Each one sees only its own part:

• Tally — the booking form
• Cal.com — the 15-minute calls
• Stripe — payments
• Notion — your student area and materials
• Vercel — hosting this website and counting its visits
• Meta — measuring the Instagram and Facebook ads
• [your email provider] — the emails I send you
• [your accountant] — invoices and tax records

Some of these are companies in the United States, so information about you is stored there as well as in Europe. They are used under the standard contractual clauses the EU provides for exactly this.

I do not sell your information, and I do not share it with anybody not on this list.

Cookies and tracking

Vercel's traffic counter tells me how many people visited, where they came from and which pages they read. It sets no cookies and keeps nothing that points back to a person.

The Meta pixel is different. Once it is switched on it sets cookies from Facebook, and it tells Meta that a browser which saw an ad went on to read this page or click "Reserve your seat". That is how a small school can afford to advertise at all: without it, the ads are spent on people who were never going to come.

You can stop it. Blocking third-party cookies in your browser, or using private browsing, keeps the pixel from recognising you, and nothing on this site stops working if you do. Meta's own controls are in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.

How long I keep it

• If you reserved but never took the course: up to two years, in case you come back for a later start date.
• If you took the course: for as long as you may want to take another one, and in any case up to three years after your last lesson.
• Invoices and payment records: ten years, because Italian tax law says so.

What you can ask for

You can ask me for a copy of what I hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it for advertising. Write to [your email address] and you'll hear back within thirty days. It's me who reads it, so please be patient if it takes a few days.

If you live in the EU or the UK you have these rights under the GDPR, and you can complain to your national data protection authority — in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali. If you live in California or another US state with a privacy law, you have comparable rights, including the right to know what is collected and to have it deleted, and I will not treat you differently for using them.

Children

Antipasto is for adults. I don't knowingly collect anything about anyone under 16. If you think a child has sent me something, tell me and I'll delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If the change is a significant one and I have your email address, I'll tell you.
